CLAY FLOWERS

Clay flowers...
These flowers are made by polymer clay.

Make small balls with the clay. Spread it flat and cut it in the desired shape of petals.Use color of your choice.

If you are using, air dry clay, you have to paint it with oil paint.

Cut leaves also in the same way. It is easy to make the veins of leaves by pressing a thin floral wire when it is still wet.

If you are using long petals, you may try pressing them at the bottom  in the shape you want. But if the petals are small, better use any glue.

And here it is.... My little flowers...

3D YARN WORK on mat...wall decor..

3D YARN WORK on mat...wall decor..

This was actually an experiment.Started doing this without much planning.I started for a cross stitching pattern. But this idea came to my mind in between because I already had some flowers made with flower loom. (did it to decorate our room last valentines day :))

So I did cross stitching for the flower vase with two contrast colors. Then I attached all the flowers by tying them with thread through the holes of the mat.If you are interested you can complete the full portion of mat with cross stitching. Once finished, frame it. Hey...now move back.Take a look. Is it giving a 3D effect? Yes...Ohhh.....Yessss...   :)  Go creative...

YARN WORK - Wall Hanging

YARN WORK - Wall Hanging

First I made yarn flowers with flower loom. Then on bangles I just rolled a contrast colored yarn. Fixed the flowers in the center and then tied the bangles together. Add a small hanger piece of yarn.Yup....its over. Make a simple wall hanging which matches your room furnishing. Go creative. :)

Acrylic Painting - TULIPS

Work of Tulips in progress...
Work in progress..

I preffered painting the minute details first after giving a light shade in the background. This helped me to assume how it will and how it should look after completing it.

Arylic painting...Tulips

Added the needed green and loved using a light brown shade for the tree and just brushed it for the background also. Play with colors and try experimenting.

YARN WORK - God's Eye wall hanging

The Ojo de Dios or God's eye is a ritual or cultural symbol of Huichol peoples of western Mexico. The God's Eye is considered as a symbolic representation of the power of seeing and understanding that which is unknown and unknowable,The four points represent the elemental processes: earth, fire, air, and water.
